Abstract

In the population decline era, the urban planning which utilized existing infrastructure is important. So, sewerage that a maintenance efficiency was low in infrastructure was investigated. A selection scheme for resizing of urbanized area was examined by combining the urban master plan with the sewerage plan. In reference to population projection of 2050 and the area where sewerage line was built, we selected the resizing of urbanized area. Furthermore, using population projection of 2050, we calculated population and a ratio for the total population for resizing of urbanized area, and were able to set the resizing of urbanized area of the appropriate scale. It was the area that could utilize existing sewerage and that could utilize existing traffic infrastructure.
