Abstract
Today, the collapse of local communities in the suburbs is a big problem and the maintenance of community activity is required. This study focuses on a community café with special theme (CCST) which people outside the surrounding are attracted, and the purpose of this study is to examine the influence on community activity and the process of it. Through interviews with the café and related groups, following conclusions were obtained: (1) The CCST formed informal relationships with groups in the surrounding through community activity after the transfer. (2) After forming relationships with groups through community activity, many groups attend it positively and actively. (3) The role of the CCST is to provide the base of community activity and to contact with the outside groups and ideas of different values.
