<p>Our modern digital environment is greatly altering access to medical information resources. In this paper, we observe improvements to the infrastructures of online journals from 2013 to the current year. We also discuss related problems in the Kanagawa prefectural hospital organization, and their resolutions. As a result, we have changed, systematically, our practices for online journal management. The rate of available journals has increased by about three times since 2014. Of note, the doctors’survey results indicated an opinion of “not very satisfied” in one of our organization hospitals, because the hospital libraries are not connected, and the system lacks organization. We continue to discuss solutions to this problem, considering the increasing costs and the continued growth of the use of academic journals, including the online journal consortium , and hospitals’management of their libraries and journals.</p>
