Abstract

The American Center Reference Service (ACRS) is a part of the Public Affairs Section of the US Embassy in Tokyo. Its primary mission is to promote mutual understanding between Japan and US by providing information services to the Japanese public. In order to keep pace with the explosion of Internet-based resources, ACRS is continuously working on improving its homepage and email infomation services. This article introduces the reference services using online resources, as well as its latest project, building a database to store information provided through the email service.
