説明

The present study was performed to investigate factors affecting the regression after laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) for myopia. We examined relationship between the regression and preoperative refraction, corneal thickness, corneal curvature, corneal forward shift and residual corneal thickness in 321 eyes of 209 patients who underwent LASIK.
Anterior corneal surface elevation was measured using a scanning slit corneal topography system before and at 1, 3, and 6 months after surgery. In this study, the definition of the regression was provided by increasing myopic diopter over -0.75D subjectively at 6 months after surgery and 15 eyes were involved as the regression.
The data indicated statistically significant correlation between the regression and residual corneal bed thickness. Eyes with thin residual corneal bed thickness (<300μm) are more predisposed to a forward shift of the anterior corneal surface, which resulted in causing the regression of myopic refraction.
