Description

Snag test method was studied on panty hoses, using the ICI pilling tester provided with the built-in tube partially covered with an emery paper for damaging.<BR>First, the method of sampling, test conditions and method of evaluation were investigated to establish a reproducible and distinguishable test methods.<BR>Then, a set of 5 photographic standards ranging from class 5 to 1 has been prepared. On the basis of the experimental results, the emery paper # 320, and three-minute operation time have been chosen as the test conditions. It has been found that this snag test method under these test conditions has good reproducibility of the test results and also good distinguishability, among samples.
