In this study, to design and develop socks that provide wearing comfort, the relationship between the knitting condition and the slippage of the top part of men's socks is investigated. With changing densities of leg and heel parts in the socks, pressure values of four leg parts before and after walking experiment are measured, and the feelings of pressure of each part and slippage of the top are evaluated. If the pressure value of the top part is 2.02 ± 0.29 kPa as the comfortable pressure, those feelings of pressure and slippage are influenced by densities of leg and heel parts in the socks. The top part of socks becomes easy to slip down with the increase of the density of heel part because of extending down the leg part. To provide the comfortable pressure at ankle without the slippage feeling of top part of socks, it is necessary that the pressure value at the minimum girth of the lower leg is adjusted to 0.84 ± 0.06 kPa.
