Description
In order to extract bastnaesite from complex ores which contain fluorite, barite, quartz, hematite and bastnaesite etc., flotation recoveries of major minerals have been investigated.<BR>Separation tests of complex ores were performed and bastnaesite concentrate was recovered as a higher grade of 69.8-71.8% RE2O3.<BR>From the experimental results, it has been made clear that bastnaesite from complex ores can be effectively extracted by addition of sodium silicate only or addition of both sodium silicate and aluminium chloride and by the regulation of the pulp temperature at 45-50°C with addition of Sulfosuccinate.
