Description

Development of the Riverside Mine in the Queensland Bowen Basin is tied to production and export of medium volatile hard coking coal to Japanese Steel Mills.<BR>This paper outlines the use of exploration samples to generate preparation plant design parameters and process requirements.<BR>The coal preparation process is described, together with the performance of the plant during the first months of operation. Particular reference is made to operation of the flotation circuit.
