Abstract

Quantitative analysis of fluid or continuum mechanics applied to growth in tea leaf. The rate of displacement of points, dy/dt, where y is the distance from the base of leaf and t is time in days, increased from the base to the tip. The distribution of relative elemental elongation rate(RELEL), d(dy/dt)/dy, along midrib differed from Xanthium, tabacco and tall fescue in no visiable gradient on the leaf and was heterogeneous; different rate were found. in different of positions of the leaf surface. The cease of growth in the leaf started at the basal part.
