Text mining is the technology utilized for analyzing large volumes of textual data applying various parameters for the purpose of withdrawing useful knowledge and information. The essence of “Mining” is “the discovery of knowledge or information.” In recent years, the utilization of text mining technology has progressed rapidly, and many application examples have been reported. This paper summarizes the concept of text mining technology and introduces features and application examples of text mining tools.
