Description

A 51-year-old woman with bullous pemphigoid was treated with a combination therapy consisting of cyclosporin (5mg/kg/day) and corticosteroid (1mg/kg/day). She developed diabetes mellitus which reguired insulin therapy ten days after the administration of cyclosporin. Both the high trough level of cyclosporin and the quantitation of C-peptide in urine revealed that the diabetes had been caused by the cyclosporin treatment.
