Description
We experienced a five-year-old girl with Kerion celsi due to Microsporum canis, who was cured by the administration of fluconazole. Following the administration of griseofluvin at the first examination, eruptions developed from the face to the neck, and thus a drug eruption due to griseofluvin was suspected. griseofluvin was changed to fluconazole and after a three-month administration of 50 mg/day of fluconazole the patient showed a marked improvement without any side-effects. Fluconazole is therefore regarded as a useful medicine for patients with Kerion celsi.
