Abstract
A 58-year-old man with sporotrichosis was reported. Histologic examination showed a diffuse chronic nonspecific granulomatous infiltration composed of neutrophils, histiocytes, epithelioid cells, giant cells, lymphocytes and plasma cells. Numerous free spores were found in tissue sections stained with hematoxylin and eosin and periodic acid Schiff.
