Description

Subsepsis allergica Wissler was diagnosed in a 41-year-old Japanese woman. The main symptoms were intermittent fever, transient exanthema of a macular nature, arthralgia and leucocytosis. Bacteriological and serological data were within normal limits, however, the heterophilantibody titer (Paul-Bunnell reaction) was positive. During the clinical course, hepatitis and exanthema were also present, possibly due to DDS. Thus, subsepsis allergica Wissler seems to relate to unstable and hyper-immune responses.
