Description

Hydroquinone is known to a superexcellent melanoanalysis agent both in vivo and in vitro. Hydroquinone formulated in ointment is found to be austere, and side effects of ointment used for depigmentation are greatly censured because of stability. In the study, a new hydroquinone ointment was developed by formulating L-ascorbic acid (0.3%) as a reducing agent and hydrocortisone acetate (1%) as an anti-inflammatory agent which was seen proven to be safe for repeated applications without any side effects. This ointment has been proven to be stable for a fairly long time and effective therapy to pigmentation as post-inflammation.
