Description

We report a rare case of cutaneous endometriosis which developed in the pubis. The patient was a 31-year-old woman who received surgery for a right inguinal hernia two years ago. About six months previously, she noticed tumor pain during her period in the pubis region. We recognized an elastic hard, brownisch gray tumor in her pubis (45 × 45mm). The tumor was completely resected along with some normal tissue. The histological examination revealed various sized ductal structures and an edematous intersititium. That is similar to an endometrium. The histological diagnosis was cutaneous endometriosis. We also discuss the incidence and pathogenesis of Cutaneous endometriosis.
