Abstract

A 10-year-old girl presented with yellowish-brown or slightly reddish partially pruritic papules on her back, hip, and extremities. The laboratory findings showed an increased level of triglyceride (821mg/dl) and chylomicron (1628mg/dl). As a result we diagnosed her to have type I hyperlipidemia. A histopathological examination revealed a mass of foamy cells in the dermis. Systemic treatment with anti-hyperlipidemia improved her eruptions. All papules began to disappear at 1 week after the start of the treatment regimen and faded away completely within 3 weeks.
