Abstract
Five cases of “black dot” ringworm, occured on female patients aged 5, 7, 8, 64 and 68, were reported. Clinical features which consisted with small comedo-like black dots on the scalp skin without inflammatory reaction were very similar in each cases. All patients were successfully treated with oral administation of griseofulvin. The presence of “black dot” ringworm cases in Japan, especially in Nagasaki prefecture, was emphasized.
