説明

The fluorine dating method was applied to the human bones found at the Nekata site, Hamakita city, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. The bones, divided geologically into two groups, A and B, were compared with the pilot series consisting of two groups of animal bones A and B, excavated from different layers of the same site. From the result of analysis (Table VI-1) it was concluded that animal bone A was quite significantly newer than B, and human bone B was of almost the same geological age as animal B, and human bone A was rather close to animal A.<br>The fluorine content of the Hamakita bones was compared with that of the bones from neighbouring sites (TANABE, 1962), (Fig. VI-1).
