Abstract
There are two types of anti-reflection sheet for flat panel displays (FPD): AR (anti-reflection) that has high efficiency and is composed of multilayer films, and NG (Non-glare) that is less efficient than AR but is inexpensive. NG is expected to develop higher efficiency because there is a need to develop better quality FPD that are less expensive to produce. However, NG produced by sandblasting cannot achieve higher efficiency because this method has lower reproducibility and requires specialized skills. This study focused on the development of a new processing method combining laser micro-fabrication and chemical etching. We succeeded in developing a better quality NG anti-reflection structure than reported previously using this method.
