Description

A 47-year-old man presented with a dark red tumor on his right shoulder, which enlarged rapidly in the last 3 months. Physical examination revealed a dark red tumor 33mm in diameter on the right shoulder. Histopathology of the excised tumor showed marked proliferation of spindle cells arranged in storiform pattern mainly within the dermis. We diagnosed this tumor as a cellular fibrous histiocytoma. Neither local recurrence nor distant metastasis occurred 8 months after surgery.[Skin Cancer (Japan) 2010 ; 25 : 21-24]
