Description

Objective and Methods: We have replaced from the screen-film radiography system to the flat-panel digital chest radiography system January 2003 and we have started the chest screening examination. Additionally it has introduced the computed radiography system for the pneumoconiosis screening. We evaluated the comparison of the radiation dose between the flat-panel digital chest radiography system and the computed radiography system (CR)by the chest phantom. And we also evaluated the image quality by the visual evaluation of the both film images with the radiology doctors and technicians. Results: The dose of the flat-panel was significantly lower than the one of the CR and the image quality of the flat-panel was equal or higher than the one of the CR. Conclusions: The reduction of the radiation dose is the one of attractive benefits for the persons in normal health that takes the screening examination. We are aware of the necessary of the lower dose techniques.
