Description

A 95-year-old woman had a tumor on her left cheek about 8 years ago. It had gradually grown. She visited our hospital in 2003. Pathological examination revealed squamous cell carcinoma. She received radiotherapy with a total dose of 60gry in 2004, which resulted in remission. The tumor had shown recurrence in 2006, was growing, bleeding, and was difficult to control. Since she refused to undergo an operation, she was treated with Mohs paste in 2007. The tumor was successfully treated, and the bleeding stopped. Mohs paste is a good treatment for a bleeding lesion of an inoperative malignant tumor.[Skin Cancer (Japan) 2009 ; 24 : 40-43]
