Abstract
The effect of UV irradiation on the density of fishing nets made from polyethylene and nylon in passage of time was investigated, supposing the fishing nets being drifting on the ocean surface. In this case, the density of all fishing nets increase and converge into constant value. There are some differences in the increasing behavior of density by individual manufactures. These differences are rather useful to specify the individual manufacturing product.
