説明

We compared the time-course effect of specialized syringe (Preza Pack II: PII) and disposable syringe (NIPRO Syringe: PS) on the blood samples for pH and gas concentrations PCO2, and PO2. The syringes filled with calf blood were kept on ice water for the examination of pH and blood gas concentrations conducted from 0 to 24 hours. When PII syringes were used for arterial blood, pH values declined significantly at 4 hours, then persisted. PCO2 values were elevated moderately throughout the test period without statistical significance. PO2 values were elevated significantly at 24 hours. However, by PS syringes, significant falls of pH values were observed at 24 hours. PCO2, values rose slightly with no statistical significance until 24 hours.Significantly rapid rise of PO2 values were observed after 3 hours. For venous blood, pH values from PII syringes were significantly decreased at 12 hours. PC02 and PO2 values were elevated gradually until 24 hours without statistical significance. Contrary by PS syringes, pHs were slightly dropped, and PCO2 rose without significant differences at 24 hours. As conclusions, the arterial blood filled in PII syringes remained stable for 3 hours, and the blood filled in PS syringes remained stable for 2 hours.
