Description
The purpose of this study is to analyze the damage and the structural factors of chromium pollution in contemporary China. In the case study of chromium pollution in Luliang County Qujing city Yunnan Province China, the pollution company has been dumping chromium waste illegally for more than 20 years. It is reported that the local people have been suffering from cancer, the death of livestock and grievous damage to the farm and land. Race to the Bottom and Pollution Relay phenomenon has seen in Middle West of China. The pollution company has the business contract with multinational companies and the products were exporting to the world market. The structural factors of chromium pollution in China are not just the political economy of central and local government, but also the production and consumption by the developed countries companies and consumers contribution to the polluting company’s expansion.
