Abstract
Among the dredged collection of the R/V Soyo-Maru, three rare chitons of the Family Acanthochitonidae were discovered from the Izu-Shichito (Islands) area. They are Craspedochiton pyramidalis from depths of 70-115 m, Notoplax tateyamaensis from 135 m deep, and N. hilgendorfi from 110-160 m deep.
