NEC's activities related to green purchasing are introduced. Three practical activities are explained: developing environmentally friendly products, providing environmental information about our products, and purchasing materials that support our green policy. Technologies developed to support green purchasing are also described. Finally, a method developed to assess the risks involved in the disposal of electronic products in landfills and its application to our product design are described.
