The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among parental attitude, life-skills, and sense of industry in elementary school children. 399 sixth grade children were participated in a questionnaire survey. Three questionnaires were used. These were the child's cognition of parental attitude, child's cognition of his life-skills, and the sense of industry. Main findings were as follows. Positive parental attitude, such as acceptance, facilitation of independence, assistance for adjustment, showed significant positive correlation with life-skills, and sense of identity. And life-skills showed significant positive correlation with sense of industry. Furthermore, a covariance structure analysis carried out that positive parental attitude showed direct positive effect toward the sense of industry, and negative parental attitude showed indirect positive effect toward the sense of industry through the medium of life-skills.
