This paper aimed to collect the documents and published papers, which treat the related theme of youth and adolescent psychology in the seminars from 1967 to 1999, to confirm our research trends in this research field, and finally to clarify the remained research tasks to be solved in the future. Through this examination, it can be concluded that the research activities of this field consisted of the following three different phases in these 30 years. First period began in 1967 and ended early 1980s. In this period, we recognized that the research activity sifted from individual paper presentation to early from of collective works within the group. In the nextstep, we tried to write our first book, which has very unique approach to the youth and adolescent problem in modern society of Japan. The third period began in 1988 and last until now. In this period, the Seinen-bukai started its own activities in the seminars and also published the second book, which enriched our thoughts and ideas about youth and adolescent problems. Our research framework, which can be seen in these two books, clarifies the further direction of study on the related field. To contribute to ease the developmental problem, which the youth and adolescent in Japan society may have, we need to promote the group research activities while strengthening our research networks.
