Description

This paper proposes a Changing Factor-based Estimation Method in Life Cycle Inventory Analysis (LCI) for which I-O tables have not been issued. The energy consumption rate calculated with IOA which is obtained from the basic I-O table and the energy balance of 2005 was defined as the reference value, and comparative verification was conducted between the reference and the energy for 2005 estimated with the three methods; the proposed method, updated I-O and simple I-O. In the ascending order of the relative error, the result indicates updated I-O, proposed method and simple I-O. Assuming that there is no energy balance for the estimated year, the energy calculated with linearly estimated values of one-year and two-year estimation periods were compared with the reference with the three methods. The accuracy of the proposed method was lower than updated I-O's and not lower than simple I-O's.<BR>The above results suggest that the estimation of energy utilizing changing factor, though it includes a certain amount of error, can be a possible method for LCI in which various environmental changes is reflected promptly and easily.
