Description
The main purpose of this research is to clarify awareness structure about a forest and forestry policies over a integrated system of regional forestry management, in order to evaluate the effectiveness for activating local forestry. Establishment of a integrated system of regional forestry management system has been a important subject on a forest and forestry policies at the local mountainous area in Japan. The mutual understanding and cooperation of persons who concerned with forest and forestry are indispensable to form of a integrated system of regional forestry management. Therefore, it is required to clarify the difference of the awareness and opinions of each concerned persons. The research ground was Hinogawa watershed area in the west region in Tottori Prefecture. The AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method was used for a quantitative evaluation of the forest and forestry policies. There are some differences in the awareness structure and opinions. These results will give us an effective suggestion in order to make effective plan to establish the integrated system of local forestry at Hinogawa watershed area.
