Description

In this study, the effect of modified silica nanoparticles on the conductivity of conductive polymer composites(PAS/PVA/Particle)was investigated. PAS/PVA/Particle was prepared from polyaniline sulfonic acid(PAS), polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) and silica nanoparticlesmodified with hydrophilic(amino, phosphonicacid)and hydrophobic(trimethylsilyl, silicone oil treatment, octylsilyl, phenyl)groups. The volume resistivity of PAS/PVA/Particles decreased with concentration of modified silica nanoparticles. It was found out that there was little difference in the conductivity enhancement effect between unmodified and modified silica nanoparticles. It was concluded that the modified groups of silica surface have no effect on improvement of the conductivity of PAS/PVA/Particle.
