説明

The Mau Due stibnite deposits are of fracture-filling type occurring in Devonian slates at the northernmost Vietnam. The host rocks are unusually C-bearing and dolomite-rich slates. The rocks are also high in chalcophile elements. Compared with the Japanese standard black slate of the Paleozoic Toyoma Group, the Devonian slates are enriched in the following chalcophile element: Cd (x 64), Au (x 27), Ag (x 21), Sb (x 19), Mo (x 6.1), Zn (x 4.6), Ni (x 3.4), As (x 3.1), and lithophile elements of W ( x 5.3) and Cr (x 3.4). The ore components concentrated in the Mau Due deposits may have been originated in the host rocks at deep levels and concentrated in the circulating meteoric water, then to the mineralized fractures; yet we need further detailed studies to prove this hypothesis.
