Abstract

Sticky notes are often used during meetings. If each sticky note’'s area and ID are recognized by a computer, various information such as the time when the sticky notes appeared, and the person who wrote them can be recorded automatically. However, conventional markers are not designed for the sticky notes in meetings. Thus, there remain some problems in robustness against occlusion or in keeping sufficient writing area. We then developed trackable sticky notes, called “Tracky Notes. ” Tracky Notes has 256 IDs and sufficient writing area. In this paper, we illustrate the design of Tracky Notes and evaluate its robustness. The evaluation shows that Tracky Notes can be tracked with 100% accuracy using 4K resolution camera. It also can be tracked with 96% accuracy when 34% of all markers are occluded. We then confirm their effectiveness through developing applications with Tracky Notes.
