抄録

In this paper, the role of the active tactual motion while judging the discrimination of material, that is acrylic, aluminum, otton fab ric, paper, rubber and wood, was investigated. The results are as follows.(1)The discrimination of material by the active tactual motion is better than that by the passive motion.(2)From the analysis result of the information theory, the amount of the transmitted information by the active touch is more than that by the passive touch in judging the discrimination of six materials.
