Description

An aim of the paper is in clarifying the real adaptation to climate for people in their daily lives. The subject is to propose and practice the method for simultaneous measurement of the occupied environment temperature (OET) in various areas in Japan. The OET is defined as the temperature of the surtounding environment of a human body in the daily life. Measurement places were six areas; Sapporo, Tsukuba, Osaka, Fukuoka, Kumamoto and Okinawa. Measurement terms were seven consecutive days in the following months; June, August, October and December 2005. The measurement was canied out for several persons every area with a portable instrument for measuring temperature and humidity. The relationship between daily mean OET and daily mean outdoor temperature was conducted. Some regression line was calculated in the relationships and considered to be the adaptive model. Regarding the real adaptation to climate in six areas four linear regression lines were estimated; one line for six areas in summer and three lines for three areas such as Sapporo, Okinawa and others in autumn to winter.
