Abstract
The authors made a study on the influence of the procedure of arc-air gouging on the breadth B (cm) and depth D_1 (cm) of the groove and the induced angular distortion T. The experimental results are shown in Fig's 2 to 12. They are affected by the gouging procedure such as gouging current I (amp) and speed v (cm/sec), plate thickness h (cm), air pressure P (kg/cm^2), rod diameter d (cm), gouging torch, etc. Empirical formulas obtained are [numerical formula] and [numerical formula] where [numerical formula] and [numerical formula]
