- Promoting Active Learning with Mutual Assessment in Engineering Design Education

Engineering Design is one of key courses for students to develop their problem solving skills. Design Project I is such a course to study the fundamentals of engineering design process through project-based learning. Students are divided into some groups and each group develops the idea for the problems, and finally presents the result and summarizes in the report. We aimed the improvement of report writing and presentation skills by means of mutual evaluations among students. In this paper, the effect of the two approaches is discussed.
