説明

Extensive use is made of the copper alloy pipes in the way of ship's cargo oil tank heating coil arrangements as well as remote control piping systems, and all the pipe joints for them are formed by means of brazing. Conventional way of meeting the brazing heat requirement with oxigen-acetylene gas was not used without its criticism : it takes relatively skilled hand and consumes too much time in practice. In the light of growing demand for a simpler method which can provide greater safety and higher efficiency, two new brazing methods utilizing different sources of heat have been developed and engineered into practicality this time. Detailed description of the developments is given in the paper.
