Abstract
Recently, research and development on reflective displays have been activated, because their features such as low power consumption and harmless for eyes. Ideal picture quality of reflective display is that of color printed matter. However, it is thought to be technically difficult to achieve this ideal features by conventional display technology. In this presentation, Actuated Film Display(AFD)which reproduce paper like white and full color will be proposed. Small black films or cyan, magenta and yellow films are mechanically actuated on white films by electrostatic force in this display, therefore picture quality can be close to the printed matter.
