Description
A new rear projection screen which consists of a micro-lens array, a diffusion layer and a black matrix (BM) has been developed. The micro-lens array is fabricated on a transparent substrate. To achieve a wide viewing angle, a thin diffusion layer is formed on the other side of the transparent substrate. The micro-lens array is fabricated by using a nickel stamper for a fine lens pitch. As a BM material, we adopt a photo sensitive material for a self-aligned aperture of BM. These structures have realized remarkable wide viewing angle, extremely fine lens pitch and low ambient reflection.
