Abstract
The purpose of this research is to verify the property of the short-term memory of object orientation information in comparison with category information. The results are as following : (1) the short-term memory of orientation information was inferior to that of category information, (2) the forgetting rate of orientation information was about twice as high as that of category information, (3) the short-term memory of non-canonical orientation was superior to that of canonical orientation, (4) the forgetting rate of non-canonical orientation was a little lower.
