Abstract

Each audience will choose his/her standing position according to his/her own decision so that he/she will see a presenter better at demonstration sale and public speaking. But when the number of audience becomes large, it is difficult for each audience to pay attention to other audience's fields of view and some audience cannot keep good positions to see the presenter. This paper proposes a method to grasp positions of multiple audience by using an overhead camera and to coordinate their positions through the verbal interaction with a robot so that more number of audience can keep better standing positions to see the presenter. A robot simulates the best formation according to personal space of each audience. Then a robot coordinates the position of each audience through conversation considering the reaction of each audience.
