Abstract
This paper explains a new technical concept named Roboptics based on high-speed optical devices. A high-speed liquid lens named Dynamorph Lens and a high-speed optical gaze controller named Saccade Mirror will be described as representatives of high-speed optical devices. Furthermore, various application of the Roboptics, such as 1ms auto pan-tilt, arbitrarily focused video synthesis, 3D motion estimation, and dynamic projection mapping named Lumipen, will be explained to discuss the validity of the concept.
