抄録
The elongation and shrinkage of silk in the mixture systems of organic solvent and water was studied. In Methanol, T. M. U and Dioxane Silk fibers show two step elongation. The concentration which shows two step elongation agree with the maximum volume swelling. Water is preferentially adsorbed by silk in the organic solvents which show the two step elongation, Organic solvent permeats to the network structure of silk.
