Abstract

Depth image based rendering(DIBR) is a method for generating images from arbitrary view with 2-D color image and its corresponding depth map. After image warping, there are some pixels without color information because of occulusion. Our method inpaints these pixels based on the segmention of image considering space-time consistency. We interpolate the pixels without color information by extending the segmented regions considering depth and continuity of the boundary. Experimental results show that the proposed method obtains better subjective qualities for the virtual views.
