説明

Effects of dyeing time, temperature and pH of dye-bath on adsorption of Acid Violet 5B (C. I. A. Violet 49) in Antheraea yamamai silk yarn were examined in comparison with Bombyx mori silk yarn.
Amount of adsorption of hydrochloric acid as a model of acid dyes was almost equilibrating to amount of basic amino acid for Bombyx mori, but those for Antheraea yamamai was thought to be less than half amount of basic amino acid contained in fibroin. It was observed that adsorption differences of Acid Violet 5B between Antheraea yamamai and Bombyx mori were induced, when the swellings of silk yarns were not sufficient under the conditions such as the early stage of dyeing, or the lower temperature like 40-50°C, or the dye-bath pH range of 5.5-6.5.
From the observation of cross section, dyeing condition beyond 30min. and 80°C was thought to be nece ssary for a dye molecule to penetrate in Antheraea yamamai silk yarn. The adsorption isotherms of Acid Violet 5B was tried to be applied for the composite formula of a Langmuir type and a non-ionic type isotherms, and the affinity constants of non-ionic type adsorption were shown to be 0.586 and 0.534 for Antheraea yamamai yarn and Bombyx mori yarn, respectively. However, there was almost no difference in color fastness to artificial alkaline perspiration.
