Abstract
Users can assemble and connect block toys to construct simple objects in a variety of way. However, it is difficult to create complex 3D object without a plan. In this work, we propose a method that takes a 3D polygonal model, and produces the way of brick assemble that ensures the brick connectivity. For this, the algorithm initially calculate the block combinations using cellular automaton, and check whether the block connectivity is managed. If there are parts that do not connect each other, then the algorithm performs the reconstruction processes. We evaluate our method, and 88% of the inputs are guaranteed the brick connectivity.
